Eva Longoria To Shine In Barcelona

Eva Longoria and Katarina Witt were among the celebrities to welcome 2007 Laureus Sport Awards in Barcelona. The event was held at at Shoko restaurant as the introduction to the main Laureus World Sports Awards ceremony which will be hosted by Barcelona and London/ Hollywood star and Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. The famous British pop band Sugababes are to perform and entertain the public.

The Laureus World Sports Awards is the premier global sports awards honouring the greatest sportsmen and women across all sports each year.

Sugababes "Comic Relief" Interview

Sugababes got seriously involved into charity. Recently Cheryl Tweedy, Keisha Buchanan and Nicola Roberts have been talking about their "Comic Relief" cooperation with Girls Aloud. The two girls' bands united to record a charity single for Comic Relief, a cover of Run DMC's Walk This Way.

Besides, having visited South Africa and met street children there, Keisha Buchanan made up her mind to adopt a child from the continent. Buchanan tells the story about meeting a little African girl:

”She said, 'I wish you could visit all the time, why do you have to go?' It broke my heart, what can you say to that? I know I will see her lovely face in my dreams forever. Meeting children like her makes me understand why Madonna felt compelled to adopt. It is definitely something I would consider one day."

The Girls's Bands Raising Money For a Good Cause

Sugababes and Girls Aloud were among the stars wearing the charity's red noses to show support for the event on 16 March. The idea behind the event is to get people to raise money to help with projects in Africa and the UK.

The both girls' bands united to record a charity single for Comic Relief.

Cheryl (Girls Aloud) said:

“It's amazing to think that the money raised from this single will help transform the lives of people living in really difficult situations."

Another Girls Aloud singer Kimberly Walsh said:

“It's a fantastic song and hopefully will raise tons of money for people living in really difficult situations here and in Africa."

The Sugababes' Keisha said she was

“really pleased to be working with Girls Aloud" on a song which is an "all-time classic collaboration".
