Everyone’s human even the celebrities that are so talked about in the news. While many people revere them and remain star struck, it’s subtle reminders like loss of hair, growing old and other things the help to remind us that in the end celebs are only human and they have problems too.

Moreover, balding is something which afflicts everyone and you’ll find that while considered to be epitome of perfection, there are many celebrities that have reverted to hair replacement surgeries to combat male pattern baldness at young or old age.

While many have come clean about their hair replacement surgeries, others have kept mum about it. Nonetheless, the proof is in the pudding and these following celebrities have undeniably had hair replacement surgeries:

Nicholas Cage

Among one of the most conspicuous hair transplant cases in Hollywood, Nicholas Cage opted to remain quiet regarding his suddenly full and deliciously brunette hair. However, even though he’s one of the most profiled stars of Hollywood since the 1980’s; his hair loss had becoming surprisingly evident as the years rolled by. However, it was evident that his male pattern baldness has definitely become very active over the past few years and eventually prompted the star to resort to hair replacement surgeries.

 John Travolta

Another one of the golden oldies, John Travolta was the biggest Hollywood heartthrob after Grease.  Undeniably good looking in his youth, John Travolta seems to have aged increasingly well. To be honest he doesn’t look too bad nowadays either. He’s aging a little too well, don’t you think? That’s right.  John Travolta took a page out of his fellow celebrities’ books and got some hair replacement surgeries done. Although in his 50’s now John Travolta sports a lush head of hair which has raised many eyebrows at him. While gorgeous with a full head of hair, he’s still a looker even when without hair and the ladies still loved him when he’s had to go bald for some roles for his movies.

Mel Gibson

Considered to be the sexiest man alive in 1985, Mel Gibson was making ladies swoon with this thick head of hair and striking blue eyes. Nonetheless, this ruggedly good looking guy started to suffer from a receding hairline fairly early in his career. While not going public about it, there is rumor that the star got some hair replacement surgeries in 2006. Although his looks have mellowed over the years, there are still times when seeing him with a full head of hair you can see the sexiest man alive of 1985 again.

Al Pacino

It’s been 35 years since Al Pacino played the role of wild and young Micheal Corleone in the classic movie The God Father. Since then Al Pacino has had a heavy and illustrious career. Therefore it became noticeably perceptible how his hair weathered the years with him. Sometimes thick, sometimes thin, Al Pacino joins the pack of Hollywood stars that’ve gotten hair replacement surgeries yet chooses to refrain from making any comments about it.

1. Natalie Portman speaks Hebrew. Born in Jerusalem to a Jewish father and American mother, this Queen Amadala actress speaks fluent Hebrew. And as you can imagine, her last name isn't really Portman, but Hershlag, reflecting her Middle Eastern roots. And what's more, she is incredibly smart. In 2003 she graduated from Harvard university with a degree in Psychology.
2. Nicholas Cage or Nicholas Coppola? This National Treasure star is the nephew of famous director Francis Ford Coppola. When Nicholas decided to break into the acting business, he was so determined to do it on his own that he changed his last name so he wouldn't be associated with his famous uncle.
3. Elton John and Hercules. What do Elton John and Hercules have in common? Honestly, I have no idea, but apparently Elton John thought so, which is why he legally changed his middle name to Hercules. And don't forget to note that Elton Johns full name and title is Sir Elton Hercules John since he was knighted by the queen of England back in 1996.
4. Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo. Kevin Clash, most famous for his puppeteering skills and distinct Elmo voice, also happened to be the voice and face for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles leader Master Splinter in the non-animated movie. Clash started building puppets at the age of 10 and has been puppeteering ever since.
5. Elvis was a Blond. Unlike the other celebrities mentioned, Elvis didn't live in our time, yet his influence is still felt. Nothing is more famous than his cocky grin, sparkling blue eyes, and perfect, wavy brunette hair. There's only one problem, Elvis was a blond! When he was in high school he started dying his hair black and continued for the rest of his life.
6. Jack Nicholson's little misunderstanding. It wasn't until he was well into adulthood that Jack Nicholson found out that the woman he thought was his mother was his grandmother, and that his supposed “sister” was really his mom, and that his other “sister” was actually his aunt. It was a bit of a shock, but didn't keep his acting career from progressing!
7. Tim the Inmate Taylor. Tim Allen spent 28 months in prison for drug dealing before he broke into acting. To shorten his sentence, he pled guilty and named the names of other drug dealers.
8. Pierce Brosnan's unique diet. At the age of 16, Pierce Brosnan left school to study painting, but ended up learning how to be a fire eater instead. He worked in a circus for three years practicing this steamy art.

We Love Super Hero Movies!

If you are a fan of superhero movies get ready for what is promising to be a fantastic year!

Already trailers for film adaptions of 'Thor' and 'Green Lantern' have been tickling the appetites of audiences across the country. In just a few minutes these snippets of film show off shiny sleek costumes, an abundance of special effects and of course, rippling muscles.

Superhero movies are certainly nothing new. The Batman movie franchise has been setting and breaking box office records for more than 20 years. Before that Christopher Reeve burned up the silver screen in a series of Superman films that are still cherished by millions of film-goers the world over.

Outside Batman and Superman, however, superhero films failed to gain any traction with viewers. There were a few mis-steps (the never-released Fantastic Four movie produced by Marvel in the early 1990's) and a couple of decent films that couldn't quite make it to blockbuster status, like Daredevil and Electra, and the Hulk films, neither of which caught on very well.

Then along came the Spider-Man franchise that simply set the box office on fire from its first film. The subsequent sequels were no less visually stunning, though not quite as strong in the story telling department but it didn't matter. Every one of them is considered a hit due to the amazing box office receipts they generated. After Spider-Man came the X-Men franchise. The first film, directed by Richard Donner, was a special effects bonanza and a hit with superhero fans and people who just liked good movies. It was quickly followed by a couple sequels, no less stunning and still well-accepted by film lovers, though not quite the critical smash of the first.

The X-Men franchise also turned out a solid spin-off film about its lead character, Wolverine and work continues on a sequel to that film which takes the clawed super-loner to Japan to fight ninja assassins.

Robert Downey Jr. donned the role of Tony Stark, and with it, the Iron Man costume. A perfect match of bravado and excess if ever there was one. Downey was the perfect Stark, he took to the role with relish and played it to perfection. That films massive popularity across genres brought the requisite sequel (one so far, but another is already in the pipeline.) It also brought talk of a massive crossover film involving characters from several different comics. Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America and Nick Fury are all slated to make appearances in what could become the greatest buddy-film of all time. Or, it could fail miserably.

Ghostrider, with Nicolas Cage as the flaming super-hero anti-demon, was moderately popular, but did well enough to earn a sequel which is coming out later this year. Hellboy, based on a popular independent comic book hero earned critical acclaim and got enough money for a sequel. Director Guillermo del Toro said he is dying to make a third Hellboy film for 2012 or 2013 so it seems likely the big red dude will be making another appearance in cinemas.

The first Fantastic Four film was a smash hit, but the sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer was lauded by critics and fans alike, though it still raked in hundreds of millions.

Super hero films are hardly guaranteed to make hundreds of millions, or even to make it off the drawing board, but once they come out, at least some portion of their fans will be pleased. Even if it's a struggle for the rest of us forced to watch it with them.
