The Spice Girls are reported to plan a sensational comeback for the Princess Diana memorial concert - to the delight of Princes William and Harry who are huge Spice Girls fans.
All five girls are negotiating to perform at the new Wembley Stadium next July, the idea of the concert was driven by Posh Spice Victoria Beckham. The girls said they had all been waiting for the right opportunity to come along - so what better than the Diana concert?
If everything goes to plan they will headline the gig and sing their most famous hits such as Wannabe and Say You'll Be There."
The Royal source added: "It would be a dream come true for Wills and Harry if it comes off.
They have happy memories of the girls' performances from childhood. They are involved with the plan and very keen for it to happen. The concert will mark the tenth anniversary of the Princess's death so it would be a real honour for them to be the headline act."
The girls - Victoria, 32, Melanie Chisholm, 32, Melanie Brown, 31, Emma Bunton, 30, and Geri Halliwell, 34 - were at the peak of their powers at the time of Diana's death in 1997.
And last month Emma Bunton said about a reunion: "It would definitely be great at some point.
We all want to do it. It's more of a question of when, not if."
