Celebrity Style: Kaley Cuoco

2014 so far has already had some of the biggest A-list celebrity bashes and awards ceremonies, from The Golden Globes, to the SAG Awards and topping the charts of best dressed and best hair has to be The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco.

Kaley has a very signature look yet manages to mix it up for every event - with her cascading blonde ombre waves, to her very dramatic eye makeup. Now to get the look at home:

Step 1: Start by adding I&K clip in dip dye hair extensions. This will create beautiful volume and length for Kaley’s wavy hairstyle. Ombre and dip dye hair has been one of the most popular styles for hair over the last year and it’s here to stay, taking on a subtly ombre effect. Kaley keeps her roots a natural dark blonde, which gradually fades into a baby blonde. If you’re a brunette, you’ll find colours that go to a more golden blonde which will also look beautiful.

Dip Dye hair extensions are also a great way to not only get long locks but also to try the ombre trend without damaging the ends of your hair with dye – perfect!

Step 2: Next, spray your hair with a heat protector (this will stop damage to the extensions through heat) and start by loosely curling large sections of your hair together with the extensions using a large barrel curling wand, leaving the root straight. Hair straighteners will also work great for this style – keep the heat lower to create less defined curls for this look.

If the curls are still a little defined, gently run your fingers through to split some of the large curls. Finish with a spritz of high hold hairspray to keep it in place.

Step 3: Kaley’s makeup is always defined with a dramatic eye whilst keeping everything else like the base, cheeks and lips very natural. A fantastic foundation for this look would be Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance – it comes complete with a matching concealer too and is on the right side of luminous to give a beautiful glow at the same time as looking like a second skin.

Keep the cheeks quite neutral too so that the focus is always the eye. A colour such as Daniel Sandler Crème Rouge Blusher in soft pink is perfect – it will give a hint of a flush and add a little dimension to the face. Choose a nude lipstick too such as New CID in Nudity. Here you can either leave it with just a lipstick or add some gloss. A good tip is to only go one to two shades lighter than your natural lip colour to avoid looking too washed out.

Step 4: Finally, for the dramatic eyes try using navy shades instead of black. This will give a dramatic smoky eye without being too harsh – especially if you have fair hair and skin tone.

Daniel Sandler has a brilliant eye liner for this look in the colour Blue Velvet. It’s soft enough to smudge but is very long lasting.  To create the dramatic eye use the eyeliner to line the water line and another tip is to line the top lash line as close to the base of the lashes as possible to make them look thicker and fuller.

For the rest of the eye you can use any colour you would like – champagne’s, beige, even silvers. Take the eyeliner under the bottom lash line too, and use a smudge brush to make the line smoky and less harsh. You could even turn it into a slight flick on the upper lid too.

Finish with lashings of your favourite black mascara.

Kate Middleton. Princess And Hair Icon

Long hair makes us all feel like a princess, and with that in mind, who better to turn to for inspiration when getting that regal look and feel than our actual princess?

Kate Middleton didn't soar her way to the crown, and into our nation's hearts for that matter, for no reason.  She has a winning smile, radiant skin and absolutely stunning hair!  She makes every girl not only want to be a beautiful, glamourous and educated princess, but also manages to make some at least really rather glad they happen to be brunettes.  Me included!

She just emanates a subtly distinguished air, of being endowed with an innate royal character, much like her husband, Prince William's, much loved mum Princess Diana, who also boasted, for her time, some particularly beautiful blond hair.  But where Diana's hair was short and distinguished Kate's is long, full of volume and vitality.

She has three main distinctive looks that form the basis of her becoming a hair icon,

Down and Decadent.  This is Kate's signature look.  She is well known for wearing her hair completely down, letting it fall past her shoulders to it's full, long length.  Usually parted at the centre or slightly to one side of her head her hair is given a lot of volume, rising up bouncily before falling in a stream of sleek waves and curls on either side of her face.

Up, Down, Up Town.  Recently Kate has started to break out, or rather break up, but not in a bad way, and whilst still making the most of her lengthy hair, leaving the majority of it tumbling down in it's usual fashion, in an abundance of curls, some of it, rather than falling on either side of her lovely face, is pulled up and away from it.  Letting us all take a look at her radiant, glowing skin and genuine smile.  Still natural, but a slightly more face framing look, there is an added element of sophistication that goes into her half up, half down do that is simply stunning.

Up and Up.  Class.  Whilst our darling Duchess of Cambridge doesn't often throw all of her hair up and away from her face, every once in a while she stuns us by breaking out this flattering and fabulous style.  Often kept simple at the front, letting her face steal the attention, though when taking a slightly different angle, and looking at it from behind one can see that whilst still effortlessly stylish, actually rather a lot of effort has gone into getting that hair up!  The back is usually, more likely than not, full of delicate swirls and braids that form her feminine and elegant hairstyle.

Yet, whatever style her hair happens to be in it is always enviably glossy, sleek, shiny and well maintained.  I doubt she's ever known a split end in her life!

She is a princess in every sense of the word, even emerging from hospital after the birth of her baby with divine, healthy and natural looking hair.  A simple centre parting and slightly lighter ends added texture to her hair, and emphasised her typical and eternally impressive curls and waves, which were not completely groomed into existence with the birth of her baby, but were nonetheless present.  Gorgeous!

Obviously we can't talk about Kate and her gorgeous hair without paying mention to her wedding day.  Besides the beautiful and elegant dress she was sporting her hair also looked divine.  Perhaps more dark than she usually wears it, or else appearing so in contrast to her pure white dress.  Hair pulled slightly back and away from her face but falling in very elaborate curls down passed her shoulders, her hair was kept behind them, and topped off with a tiara and long Cinderella-esque veil, allowing her hair and her dress to shine in equal measure.

All in all, it is safe to say that our divine Duchess is an absolute hair inspiration, pulling off any of her simplistic yet effective styles with grace and ease, it's no wonder she's a princess!

All-TIME Top 5 Icons In Fashion, Style And Design

The world of fashion and art has no shortage of all-time icons. Their style is a benchmark, their gowns are being sold on auctions for millions of dollars, and their memoirs immediately become best sellers. Fashion icons are all artistic souls: photographers, models, singers, designers and muses. Take a look at list of top 5 icons in fashion, style and design to get some inspiration.

1. Coco Chanel

In the minds of many people the very word ‘fashion’ is closely associated with Coco Chanel. Gabrielle "Coco" Bonheur Chanel was an exceptional woman who revolutionised fashion industry significantly. She’s the only fashion designer mentioned in the list of the 100 most influential persons of the 20th century. And this is for a reason. Coco was a very hardworking woman with an incredible sense of fashion and style. Her silhouettes embody elegance, femininity and simplicity. No modern wardrobe would be complete without her great inventions: a little black dress, quilted bag with a chain strap, Chanel No. 5, tweed blazer and other iconic products.

2. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

This brilliant woman was never just First Lady. She was one of the most elegant and feminine public persons. Jacquelineis the embodiment of the sophistication and style of the 60’s. Many women all over the globe have adopted her classical look: three-strand pearl necklace, impeccably tailored suits, elbow-length gloves and other tiny details.

3. Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick

The famed painter, photographer and movie director Andy Warhol is always in the lists of the iconic personalities of the past century. His somewhat wacky Campbell’s soup cans and other paintings are still widely discussed. He’s the inventor of what we call a ‘factory look’ girl: giant accessories, short hemlines, smoky eyes, dominating black-and-white palette. This look was based on a real person - Edie Sedgwick, Andy’s muse and long-time companion.

4. Princess Diana

Diana, the Princess of Wales, has changed the traditional regal look into something more public, yet elegant and very feminine. She rejected her advisers’ tips and created a completely new look herself. She was simultaneously modest and bold in her outfits: she loved different colors (from white to crimson and sparkling orange), and she wasn't afraid to experiment with materials. She always kept up with the top trends of the day: polka dots, bright floral prints and voluminous sleeves.

5. Michael Jackson

This list wouldn’t be full without this great, insanely popular singer. He has managed to create his exceptional, otherworldly, recognizable image: the glittering glove, leather jacket, curly hair and his head-turning legwork. His flamboyant wardrobe was a very bold fashion statement. Like his songs, it was very well thought-out, unique and exceptional.

Of course, the list of the most influential fashion, style and design personalities doesn’t end here. There are many more exceptional figures to adopt their style: Jean Paul Gaultier, Ralph Lauren, Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, Madonna and Michelle Obama, just to name a few.

You can find some of the signature accessories following the style of these personalities on the official Primark website. Visit this resource to see that even the most desirable, fashionable wardrobe pieces can be purchased at affordable prices.

Pixie Lott - Steal Her Style

Coming up with a look that is both cute and sexy can be a very difficult thing indeed, and it’s something that many of us strive for when putting outfits together. In the world of celebrity, no one has pulled it off quite like Brit singer Pixie Lott, who always manages to look super sexy and flirty at the same time as being innocent and ultra-cute. How on earth does she do it?

Pixie Lott’s natural attributes help quite a lot, namely her long, shapely legs and big brown eyes. However, it’s the clothes she chooses that help to create her cute-sexy image, and this is something we can steal for ourselves. If you want Pixie’s look, here’s all you need to know to steal her style:

  • Go for playful accessories. Pixie is often pictured teaming her outfits with playful, fun accessories, such as bunny ear hair bands, heart-shaped sunglasses, hippy chic floral headbands and cute headbands. The way to avoid looking too childish with these accessories is to stick to just one per outfit, and keep the rest of your look grown-up.
  • Wear wedges. Although she is occasionally pictured in heels, Pixie often sticks to wedges. Chunky, cute and easy to walk in, wedges make the most of a great pair of legs like Pixie’s.
  • Brogues are best. Another shoe that Pixie seems to love is the classic brogue, which again shows off her legs whilst also being a sexy look for daytime.
  • Show off a little skin. Pixie tends to stick to the fashion rules when it comes to showing off some skin – either legs or cleavage, but never both. She loves showing off those pins, but also likes to wear swimsuits, tops and dresses with cut-out sides. Another way to show off a sexy bit of skin is to go for a midriff-baring top, which also happens to be a big trend right now. Wear it with a high-waisted pair of shorts, trousers or skirt on the bottom half and flash only an inch of flesh if you want – the look will still be both cute and sexy.
  • Throw on a blazer for a night out. To avoid showing off too much (or freezing to death) on a night out, Pixie is often pictured in a fitted blazer jacket, usually with rolled-up sleeves. The simple addition of a grown-up jacket is all that’s needed to inject some sophisticated sexiness to a cute outfit.
  • Keep your look young and fresh in shorts. Pixie wears lots and lots of teeny tiny shorts, some high-waisted and some bum-baring, like the ones she wore on-stage when first breaking into the music scene. Even though some pairs of hotpants and shorts may be a little revealing, injecting your look with a touch of sexiness, they also help to keep your look fresh and youthful. If you have great pins like Pixie, wear as many shorts, minis and skater skirt styles as you can get your hands on!

Maggie Gyllenhaal...well Sending The Paparazzi Off

Maggie Gyllenhaal, the elder sister of girls' (and boys') idol Jake Gyllenhaal, must hate paparazzi. Having noticed that they are going to take a few pictures of her rebellious star revealed her disrespect by showing her middle finger. (!)

"Elegy" (directed by Isabel Coixet, written by Nicholas Meyer): Penelope Cruz, Ben Kingsley, Peter Sarsgaard

Penelope Cruz is in Vancouver filming her new movie "Elegy" causing plenty of rumour around her off-screen relationships. Cruz and Ben Kingsley playing a romance between a student and a teacher obviously transferred their screen love into life. The duo appeared in public taking no effort to hide their close relationships.

Alyson Hannigan and her former Buffy co-star and now hubby Alexis Denisof are enjoying themselves in Malibu this week. Alyson sporting her new dark brown hair style seems to be more satisfied than her hubby who looks disgusted; or is he going to spit right in the street?

Kate Beckinsale Looking Sick

Kate Beckinsale looked pale and tired when leaving her hotel. Kate is in Montreal to film her new movie Whiteout. The flick is promised to be rather depressing telling about U.S. Marshal who tracks a murderer in Antarctica. Maybe the set atmosphere acts badly on Beckinsale as she looks abnormally exhausted.

Bai Ling To Hit "Ocean's Thirteen" Red carpet

"Ocean's Thirteen": George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin...

Well, you may dislike Bai Ling and her style but the Chinese actress's manner appeals to me. She always manages to be in the focus of everyone's attention and on top. Bravo, Bai Ling, for a new stunning appearance!

Kate Hudson Always Looks Stylish

Kate Hudson who has been recently called the owner of Hollywood's best body by U.S. magazine (according to it, Kate has the Leanest Legs), looks great even carrying the bags while moving in her New York home (may 24).

Rumour has it that Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are getting serious and we can even expect the new celebrity marriage soon. Well, we'll see.

Gemma Atkinson's Face To Promote Formula 1

Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, 22, was chosen to be the face of Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Well, the British Grand Prix definitely chose the wrong Gemma's body part to promote the formula. As we can see from the photoshoot, face is not the most prominent Atkinson's feature.
